WINTER CRAZE IN AUSTRIAN ALPS

GERLITZEN ALPE is one of the most famous regions of Carinthia. Thanks to its
excellent infrastructure, a complex system of lifts and ski tracks, gorgeous views
and abundance of sunlight, it has become a real paradise for the white craze lovers.

The youngest

For the youngest there have been created some special hills on Gerlitzen, full of marvelous colours. The little ones, under the watchful eye of experienced instructors, may safely master skiing secrets there and at the same time have a great fun.

Ski and Snowboard Schools

There is also something special for ski and snowboard schools. For the use of their learners the schools can make reservations of some slope areas with specially prepared slalom tracks. Hiring time measurement devices is also possible.
At your disposal there are also a dozen or so ski and snowboard instructors who will take up training of both beginners and advanced fans of the white craze.

Snowboard

There is also a place for snowboard fans on Gerlitzen. Every year there is a fan park created specially for them.

Extreme skiing

Those who are keen on strong thrills can ski here in deep snow.

Skating

The lakes surrounding Gerlitzen are not only summer attractions. In winter they become skating sports centers. Except skating you will find here a number of special offers: hockey, skittles, ice dancing. The biggest areas of natural ice, forming here every year, are the place of annual traditional skating marathon.

Cross country skiing

To the fans of cross country skiing Carinthia offers 1,200 km of blazed tracks leading through a wonderful winter landscape.
At your choice there are panoramic tracks, walking tracks and glacial tracks adjusted to skate skiing.
'Ski -Tour- 4' track does not know borders in a literal sense; it joins Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli - an Italian province.

Tourist routes

For those who because of any reasons do not fasten skis, we offer another form of physical activity in a perfectly clean environment: walking along well marked mountain routes, safe both during summer and winter seasons and of different difficulty levels. What they all have in common are unique and picturesque landscapes.

Relaxation

After skiing efforts and wandering along mountain routes it is worth a while to relax on one of numerous view terraces or in restaurants situated on the slopes. The landscapes you will see here will stay in your memory for ages.

Paragliding

A great adventure possible in every season of the year. Paragliding instructors are waiting for your applications. Gerlitzen seen from the air is a breathtaking view.

Entertainment

After an active day it might be worthy a while to relax in a swimming center in Willach or in the hotel sauna. For those who have not had an opportunity of enjoying sunbaths we recommend the hotel solarium. You may also spend a nice evening in the Fireplace Room of our hotel drinking a glass of cognac and enjoying the homelike atmosphere.
